Why NURĀ exists

NURĀ was not created to offer another escape, trend, or aesthetic.

It was created out of a very real understanding: that people who give a lot — to work, to others, to life — rarely give themselves the space to truly stop.

NURĀ is a response to that. A considered pause. A quieter way back to yourself.

Meet the team

A small, intentional team brought together by shared values: presence, discipline, care, and quiet excellence.

Andra — Founder of NŪRĀ

Andra

Founder

NURĀ was born from Andra’s personal experience of building, working, hosting, and constantly being “on” — while realizing how little space most people are given to truly rest without guilt or distraction.

With a background in hospitality, private dining, and curated experiences, she understands the difference between something that looks luxurious and something that actually feels taken care of.

Her approach is thoughtful, detail-driven, and deeply human. Every retreat is designed with the same question in mind: What would I need if I were the guest?

Annie Bao — Co-founder and Pilates Instructor

Annie Bao

Co-founder · Pilates Instructor

Annie is a Pilates instructor based in New York City, with a background as a dancer. From an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for discipline, expression, and the intelligence of the body.

After beginning her teaching journey in barre in 2017, she transitioned fully into Pilates, earning certifications in both Mat and Reformer Pilates. Her teaching blends classical technique with a modern, athletic sensibility.

At NURĀ, Annie creates movement experiences rooted in strength, alignment, breath, and mindful flow. She believes movement becomes more powerful when it’s shared — and that Pilates is not just exercise, but a pathway back to your highest self.

Mariana — Private Chef

Mariana

Private Chef

Food at NURĀ is not an afterthought — it is a central part of the experience.

Mariana is a private chef with years of Michelin restaurants experience cooking for private clients, and intimate gatherings. Her style is intuitive, nourishing, and grounded in care rather than restriction.

She prepares food that supports the body without heaviness, using fresh ingredients and simple techniques. Meals at NURĀ are designed to feel comforting, balanced, and quietly restorative — never performative.

“NURĀ is not about doing more. It’s about doing less — with intention.” Care · Presence · Quiet luxury
